Plan for Salvation

The plan of salvation is God’s way of redeeming humanity from sin and its devastating consequences. The plan reveals how Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world as a human being, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and was resurrected from the dead. Consequently, our sins can be forgiven and we can receive eternal life. We must however, repent of our sins, put our trust in Christ’s finished work on the cross, and receive Jesus into our hearts as Lord and Savior. The following passages of Scripture summarize this glorious plan of salvation.

WHAT IS THE BIBLICAL PLAN OF SALVATION?

The following passages of Scripture summarize this glorious plan of salvation.

God loves all of us! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

But we are all sinners! “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:24)

And sin has a penalty! “For the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)

Christ has paid our penalty! “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Ro 5: 8)

Salvation is a gift from God!  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8, 9)

Christ is knocking at the door of our hearts! “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

We must receive Him by faith into our hearts! “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)

The Way to Salvation Includes the following: Placing Your Faith in Christ which involves

(1) Acknowledging our sin and our need for Christ to save us

(2) Turning from our will and way to God’s will and way.

(3) Accepting Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior by faith.

Prayer Request

We want to pray with you and for you. Prayer is an important of our Christian growth and development. Click on the button below to email us your prayer request and here are some scriptures to help.

James 5:13-18 ESV

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. ...

Jeremiah 29:12 ESV

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

Matthew 18:19-20 ESV

Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
